What it is: A serum with a powerful combination of acids to promote cell renewal and smooth skin's texture while reducing the appearance of spots.
What it does: This serum contains malic acid, which is a mild AHA derived from fruit that fights bacteria and helps open pores to clear out sebum.
Key ingredients:
- Mandelic acid: another AHA, along with kojic acid, helps fight hyperpigmentation by decreasing the production of melanin in the skin
- Hyaluronic acid: naturally found in skin, hydrates by attracting moisture, giving skin a more plump and youthful appearance
- Gold: an anti-inflammatory, helps reduce redness and protect against free radicals
- Silver: an antibacterial, helps stimulate healing in skin tissue to fight signs of aging
How to use: Use the serum in your nighttime skin-care routine once per week. Pump a pea-sized amount onto your fingertips and apply to skin. Target specific areas to help diminish hyperpigmentation, or apply all over to promote cell turnover and smooth the skin. Increase frequency according to skin tolerance. Because this product contains alpha-hydroxy acids, it may increase skin's sensitivity to sun, so be sure to use a sunscreen with use and limit sun exposure. Do not use with retinol products.

The new formula is AMAZING.
I have been using PMD products for a few years now. I was not a huge fan of the original acid serum (very liquidy, hard to apply and left my face a little orange colored) but I kept using it because it did work. Their new formula is by far the best EVER. I am so glad I kept up with it. I often get compliments on how youthful my skin is, how my dark spots have faded and my pores have shrunk. Highly recommend this product and the renew serum.

Just the burn sensation but no peel effect noticed
I can feel the not so uncomfortable burn when I put it on but i don't see any peeling effects

Thank you for sharing your experience with PMD Refinish Serum. It is not unusual for peeling to, initially, not occur. Having burning but not peeling is a normal reaction since the acids cause cell turnover and renewing of the skin surface. If the "burning" is excessive, decrease the amount of days used.
Another option would be to try diluting the serum with some moisturizer at night if yo want to still get benefits without as much downtime and peeling.

My holy grail product!
After every use, my skin feels fresh and is dewy without being greasy. I've also noticed a significant difference in the appearance of my acne scars.

Note sure
The acid made my skin really red at first and I haven't decided if I liked the results yet or not.

The refinish serum is a very aggressive product so cause initial redness is not unusual. It shouldn't, however remain for very long.
