Reefer Faux Fur Longline Coat

First, let me say that the 2 stars is not for anything to do with the coat itself. I ordered this coat in navy. The color is very rich and deep and the faux fur is very soft and plush. Not sure how that would hold up, so I doubt it could be an everyday coat. The main thing that I am extremely irritated about is that Nordstrom states that the fit runs large and recommends to order a size down. I did as they suggested and couldn’t even get the thing closed. When I went back and actually viewed the stylist video she recommended ordering a size up to have room for layering. Thanks for not following your own employee’s advice and wasting my time Nordstrom! I returned for a larger size.

I love the feel, look, and color of this coat, but I wish the hook-and-eye closures stayed fastened—they tend to pop open. I’m usually between an XS and S, but I wish I had sized up to a M so I could layer more comfortably. On its own, I don’t think it would be warm enough for 40° weather without layering. For reference, I’m 5’2”, and it hits at my calves, which is the perfect length for me.

I absolutely love the longer knee length, large collar that doesn’t overwhelm and side entry pockets. I’m a size 12/14, 5’5” height and 170 lbs and the XL is perfect so I’d say it’s true to size. Bummed that it does not have a back vent like the one in the video does. The navy color is a gorgeous, dark, inky blue. A good buy on sale but not sure I’d pay full price tho as the quality is just ok -the sleeves are very long and the lining makes the coat pull a bit at the hem in the back. It’s flattering, super soft and warm so I’m taking the good with the bad.
