Stargazer Print Flip Flop

I purchased these in Feb for my daughter to wear for swim practice. When we got them my daughter loved the fun style and color. I noticed that the quality is different than I have come to expect from Reef. This was a basic flip flop style- flat with no arch support which was the first difference I saw. The sole was firm not hard which I liked but the straps were thin and not great quality. Now, 2 months later these flip flops turned out to be a real flop. The strap broke off and cannot be repaired. My daughter wears these only to practice all of 20 feet from the car to the pool entrance and back after practice. They are not out in the sun to make the plastic brittle because it is a covered patio and pool area. I know they were not too tight because we sized up when we purchased as recommended. She does not wear these for casual or everyday street wear so I don’t understand why these would break so easily. I expected more from Reef flip flops and hate to say that our inexpensive Gap flip flops have lasted longer than these. Very disappointing.
