'Medium MAB' Saffiano Leather Tote

I do not recommend this bag. The handles crack and it ruins the look of the bag. This has happened with two of these bags for me and I am very gentle with my handbags.

Beautiful, structured, elegant bag. Depth is perfect for carrying a stack of paperwork, wallet, makeup bag, etc. Strap length is perfect for over-the-shoulder carrying. Inside pockets on both sides fit cell phone, pens, etc. I particularly appreciate that the logo plate is small. I get really tired of bags with honkin' logos. Regrettably I'm going to return this because of the outside pocket. A small thing, really, but I know it would annoy me over time. You have to lift the flap and hold it up while unzipping at the same time. Which isn't convenient for dropping in my keys or other miscellaneous items I want to get at quickly.

I recall instantly falling in love with the MAB tote due to the chic, versatile, classy look it exuded. I also loved the minimal garishness in her tiny emblem. I love a bag that can display quality without a monogram pattern or some sort of other recurring symbol. I had my eye on the MAB tote for quite some time and was very skeptical to try it since I had never purchased one of her purses. Finally, I was able to give in and catch the hot pink, soft leather, medium MAB on sale, so I had to get it! Upon arrival, I immediately fell in love. Everything about it was perfect from the size, style, and color. It also held a large capacity; I was even able to put my 13’ Macbook inside of it. However, after about one week of wear, I noticed tears and rips along the handles. This really disappointed me since I had already became attached to it, but since I loved it so much, I decided to give it another try and exchange it for the Biscuit colored Saffiano MAB. I really want to fully love this bag, so I am hoping for a better experience this time around specifically because I switched materials, and Saffiano is expected to be of better durability and quality. I’ll wait to see how everything unwinds, but for now, I still love everything else about it!

I truly wanted to love this bag. I had it on my wish list for over a month, and when it went on sale, I nabbed it. But, it's going back. The leather is rough and textured. I was surprised by this, but thought it might still work. Then, I "tried it on". The bag itself was too structured and didn't fit under my arm without digging into me. It felt more like a board than leather. I normally have no trouble with totes, but they are usually a more supple leather. I should have listened to the other reviewers. The bag does not look like a nicer bag, and it only closes with a single snap - no zipper.

I ordered this beauty online when Nordstrom had one of their flash sales. The first thing I noticed when it arrived was the gorgeous but edgy styling. The next thing was the soft and smooth leather. This bag is big enough to hold my purse organizer which holds all my essentials: my wallet, cosmetic case, hand sanitizer, pens, purse hook, business card holder, tissue case, coin case and so much more with room to spare for my Kindle and a light shawl if needed. I adore beautiful stylish handbags, but when you add functionality and versatility to the mix, then the Rebecca Minkoff M.A.B. Medium Leather Tote exceeds all expectations! I love it so much, I bought it in three colors: Prune, Grey Sleet and now basic Black.

Sad to say that this purse will be returned. :( it's a nice size and a pretty color (soft blue) but the leather is just too stiff for my liking and it is very uncomfortable under my arm.
