Rambler® 64-Ounce French Press

I love this product and was so happy I could buy it from a local store!

Overall, this is a good product. It is easy to clean and does an excellent job keeping the coffee grounds pressed down and out of the coffee. My only complaint is the pour spout: when pouring, coffee tends to run down the outside of the spout and pitcher, possibly because of the thickness of the plastic. I will continue using it, but I recommend keeping a paper towel nearby.

I picked this up a couple of weeks ago to go with the YETI pitcher. It replaced both a 6+ cup camping pour-over group coffee kit and a smaller Jetboil French press kit for smaller sessions. My initial impression is that it has the usual YETI build quality: heavy, well made, and well thought out. The interface with the pitcher is especially well designed, allowing you to use nearly the full volume of the pitcher. The fit along the sides is firm enough to make plunging easy while still keeping grounds from escaping. As someone who is pretty particular about coffee, I also appreciate the filter design. The metal filter is finer than the one on my Jetboil press, which I find to be an improvement. It also has an interesting check valve design above the filter that seems intended to reduce over-extraction after plunging. In practice, it seems at least somewhat effective. What really makes this a winner, though, is the pitcher itself. The first person up can make a full pot of coffee for the group, and it will still be hot an hour later with minimal over-extraction. For camping, travel, or group coffee, this is a really solid setup.

YETI is using plastic when they could/should use stainless steel. Plastic used in high temperature environments is not good for us. YETI should correct this ASAP.

It would be at least a 4 stars if it wasn't for the fact that the spout is poorly designed. It always makes a mess when pouring coffee to a glass. Also the fact that flies can jump right into the coffee pot because they don't come with anything to secure the hole makes me wanna give it a 3 stars rating. Other than that, it has a very good insulation and built though...

i have not had my 64oz french press for a year ,the twist top failed ,had to order new one I am sending you back old one, so you may look at it and hopefully improve .
