Excellent quality and functionality
I really have to give this the highest of accolades especially because of some of the negative reviews. I am 5'8 and 150 lbs with 41 inch hips. I bought the medium because it was the only one available. I was afraid it was going to be too small but the fit is exactly spot on. There is absolutely no smell to the jacket at all. The hood fits perfectly with a visor for even better protection and it goes to my knees. Just to be careful I won't be using the snaps by themselves as that's why I think some people are saying the snaps pull away from the fabric. You're supposed to use the zipper first. REgardless, shopping with Nordstrom gives you the ability to return things is they are defective even a year later so I'm not worried about that.

Cute, snug at the hip
I chose a size small based on the Rains website recommendations and found this jacket to be a big snug at the hip (38in). The tie offers a nice way to create a waist, but I wasn’t sure how to best keep them tied. The material seems great, the length was a bit long for me (5’4). I opted for a different style from the same brand.

snaps ripped off!
I was so sad to return this because it fit well, is cute and sporty, and seemed to resist rain. Unfortunately the second time I used it, I noticed the snaps had ripped out of one side of the fabric, so the zipper would be the only way to close it. It is a stretchy fabric so I guess it couldn’t hold the snaps in.

This jack is really cute and is perfect for rainy climates. The only reason I took one star off is because it smells horrible at first. If you're ok with waiting to wear it until the rubbery smell wears off, I'd definitely suggest purchasing.

Runs small- but great
I love this! Great quality for the price. It’s a dutch brand, so it runs small. I am usually a small, and even the medium is a tiny snug in the hips. Size up. Highly recommend

cute but very casual
