RL quality is evident throughout, but it was cumbersome to deal with snaps, zipper, and sleeves are too long for my arms. Also prefer slide-in vs patch pockets for quick access.

good for cold climates
I was mainly looking for a packable rain jacket. This is not it. I liked the style and the cinch waist and hood. I liked the quilted removable Dickey and there is quilting lining the jackets that cannot be removed. This made it bulky for my purpose which was a travel coat
This would be good for cold rain and could even be worn as a light jacket in fall.
