Great black jeans
I purchased these jeans after reading the "loopback" fabric description. I had just purchased the loopback jeans in blue denim, and those ran big. For reference, in the blue version, I had purchased a 31 (I am a size 10) and they seemed big, so I ordered the 30, which are perfect. I did not see as many reviews for the black jeans indicating that they ran big, so I went with the 31. I would say that the 31 in the black version are perfect. It's a bit odd that the two colors seem to run differently, so that may be something to keep in mind. As I said in my review for the blue version, I never spend this kind of money on jeans! However, after owning multiple pairs of jeans that are just not that comfortable, I decided to give these a try, and I have to say that they seem worth the money. The loopback fabric is special, so soft and wish lots of give. BTW, I simultaneously purchased a pair of Dre jeans in the regular denim fabric, but they have much less give in the waist, and I am going to return them. Sadly, these are being returned to Nordstrom because I found them at a lower price elsewhere and it was not within the price-match policy; otherwise I would definitely keep these. The black is a true black, by the way, not faded. These jeans are definitely lower rise. I think that I will wear them a lot.
