Cate Ankle Skinny Jeans

These run insanely big. As in, size down two sizes. Other than that they’re very nice. Super stretchy and thin, which is good because I live in a warm climate, but it’s nice to have a darker wash for fall. These are similar to the older r&b “Capri” style jeans from a few years ago, just a bit longer. I haven’t been a fan of some of the more recent r&b styles, but these may change my mind. I bought these and another, lighter pair.

I ordered these jeans from the store because it seemed I was not a 26 and not a 28. They were out of the 27's. Got them and loved the way they looked from the front, but when I looked at my back end, all I could see was pockets sticking out like a sore thumb. The fabric is thick and this added thickness to the pockets. To top it all, the stitching is gold, so the pockets are really noticeable. Returned and ordered Cate Skinny Jean (April) from the Rack; they came today and I am very happy with those. Fabric composition is important. Too much stretchiness n Carmen makes for very hefty jeans.

These jeans are super cute. Very flattering. Stretchy but don't stretch out at all. I'm 5'7" and 130 pounds. Generally wear a size 28 in jeans but I had too much room in those so I went down to a 27. I think this Cate style runs a bit big. I have other colors and it is the same with those in Cate. The 27s are definitely more fitted on me but they are super flattering and comfortable.
