Leather Pencil Skirt

where do i begin with this skirt. This was my most awaited item and i was so excited. the skirt is so beautiful. The leather is soft and the fit was true to size for me. I was obsessed with this skirt. When i started styling the skirt i was bent over gently to change shoes and the bottom button fell and and ripped piece of leather off. i think i cried! im so sad its made so cheaply. I never owned leather skirt before so i didn't know what to expect. i wish this skirt was better made. Thats why i gave low rating. but honestly im more sad because this was so beautiful for fall

The skirt is stunning to look at but it’s not practical for everyday wear. I tried the skirt on twice, first time when it was delivered and fit was perfect, true to size. The second time I was getting ready for event, put the skirt on, sat down to tie my shoes and one of the middle buttons fell off! I was so bummed but then thought I could just take it to Nordstrom alteration to have them sow it back on but then I noticed that the last button was on the verge of falling off as well and the leather was ripping off with the button! Ahh - such disappointment! It was my most awaited item purchased! It was a sad day!

For reference I am 5’1” & 100lbs, I ordered this skirt in XXS. It was skin tight and barely zipped. I own 10+ Rachel Parcell dresses/skirts that are all XXS, so I was surprised the sizing was so off and the reason I gave it 4 stars. While I am returning it and currently XS is sold out - what I did like is the quality of the leather is nice, soft but not to thin, it’s lined and the length is just past my knees. Photographed on Rachel Parcell herself it appears a cognac color but it is indeed a deep red. I wish it was more brown then red personally. Unfortunately this skirt was a miss for me and returned.

Beautiful skirt, but sizing was off. I’m normally always an xsmall (I’m 5’4” 127lbs) but the xsmall in this skirt was skin tight. Fit around my waist, but was so tight everywhere else. Exchanged for the small and then the small was too big. Unfortunate because it’s a nice skirt, but the color is definitely more of a wine red than a brown.

The skirt fit nicely, however when I received it, the buttons were falling off.

The color is definitely red, not cognac like photo. It's a pretty color and cute style. I was sure it would look terrible after so many negative reviews but it looks sheikh and fits well and true to size. I'm normally a size 6-8/medium and the Medium fits well. It sits low on the waist and isn't a body con style. Could be a little more snug but overall it's a flattering fit. If you have a tummy to hide or want a skirt that sits high at the waist, this skirt isn't for you.
