Quilted Barn Jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this jacket mainly because I would never have purchased it, but think it’s such a cute spring style. The collar is adorable corduroy and the sleeves are short so they show off bracelets nicely. The material feels durable and weather resistant but not weather proof. It’s quite a warm jacket, and the inner material will make your arms sweat if you’re wearing short sleeves. The boxy shape is very trendy and the length is right!

The cropped, quilted design in green with the tan corduroy details gives it a slight equestrian feel, which is on trend right now. It has that effortless, styled look while still being really easy to throw on. Fit-wise, it leans a bit boxy and oversized, which is definitely intentional and works well with the cropped cut. The material has a slightly slick feel, almost like a lightweight windbreaker, so it does a great job cutting the chill while still being comfortable and not bulky- perfect for those in-between fall days! The pockets are actually great for holding things like a phone or cards, but they sit a bit high, so they’re not the kind you’d use to warm your hands. That said, is feels like part of the design and aesthetic rather than a flaw. Overall, it’s super cute, well made, and feels thoughtfully designed and is a great jacket when you want something functional but still styled!

I am usually a size XS but sized up to an S so I can layer it with sweaters. It’s light-to-medium weight, so it’s perfect for spring/fall or for milder winters. The black is very easy to style and goes well with a smart casual work wardrobe. I’m excited to wear this in the seasons to come!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket was just okay for me. The positives: the material and construction of the jacket feel high-quality and well-made. I also love the blue gingham pattern, and overall the jacket is comfortable to wear. The negatives: I do not like the collar - it is a brown corduroy that does not go with the light blue and white gingham at all. The fit of the jacket is very boxy and unflattering, as well. I really wanted to love this jacket, but I just don’t and can’t say that I would recommend it.
