Lens: The label's polarized ChromaPop™ Glacier photochromic lens adapts to changing light conditions and delivers color and contrast-boosting performance throughout the full range of the lens while maintaining airflow and an easy-to-wear feel. It also has anti-fog and hydroleophobic coatings for clear optics and easy cleaning.

Frame: Smith's Evolve™ bio-based frame material is extremely lightweight and durable, keeping you comfortable during all your active pursuits. The Megol nose pads and temples are adjustable so you can customize for a perfect fit.

Great for Backcountry Skiing

I purchased these sunglasses a year ago and have been very happy with them! They are the first sunglasses with side shields that I can climb with and not have fog up. The ChromaPop Glacier Photochromic Copper To Gray With Blue Mirror gets plenty dark for a sunny day on snow and they get less dark for skiing through the trees.

What are these even for? Selfies at the lodge?

0 stars - For the price point these are hot garbage. Speaking of hot, don't get hot in them or they fog up and become impossible to clean at home let alone 10000 feet up. That isn't the only glaring issue. If the glasses aren't glued to your face with the strap then every tiny sunbeam reflects off of the INSIDE of the lenses making these utterly useless. I spent all spring on PNW Cascade glaciers and peaks. WOULD NOT recommend unless you are chilling at the ski resort lodge. Too bad I spent the time understanding the limitations and cannot return them.

First Time I've Been Disappointed in a Smith Purchase

Let me start with the lenses are great per usual, no issue there. The fit itself is not very comfortable. I wore the glasses with a Smith hat for a entire day out on the water sailing and the nose section was digging into the bridge of my nose the whole day (I did not have the sun blocking attachment on the nose). I have had several pairs of Wildcats over the years and have had no issues at all. The side flips are easy to use but do still let some light through. Again this could just be an issue with the shape of my face? The nose sun block attachment is easy to take on an off and no issues there. Overall they seem like well built sunglasses, they just were very uncomfortable for me to wear. Could just be a personal problem?

Awful Warrant Process

Purchased these from authorized online retailer and tried on. They sat crookedly on my face and I checked the nose piece and it arrived broken. Smiths just needs to send me a new nose piece and it’s been radio silence for 2 weeks. Premium brands I’m used to have much more respect and alacrity than this company. When I reach out they just tell me to wait. I bought these glasses for snowboarding and now, with a very dry and high temp winter in Utah, may miss my window to use this season.

FOGY

Fits well, looks great but! This is my third pair of Smith goggles, and I’ve never had this issue before. I’m not sure if there is a defect with this particular pair, but they fog up a lot. I use them for ski touring, and during the very first ascent they completely iced over within about 20 minutes. Unfortunately, the same thing happened every time I tried them afterward. Because of this, they are difficult to use in real ski touring conditions.
