Purifying Cleanser

Since I had to give up my pharmacy chain facial wash, I have been struggling for the past 3 years or so to find a replacement. I have ultra-sensitive, dry skin, and have struggled to find skincare my entire life. Well, I have found a facial wash. First, the unboxing. The shipping box was larger than I expected. I thought hum, for a tube of facial wash, why is the box so big? After opening it, I say the box the product was packaged in. Can you say, luxurious? I have purchased more expensive products, and the packaging for this is comparable or better that those products. You know what I don't like? Having to buy multiple products to get my skin clean. I mean, a makeup/sunscreen remover, eye makeup remover, and a facial wash that won't dry out my skin. With my sensitive skin, less is more for me. This product does a great job getting my skin clean without drying it out and causing a reaction. It will remove makeup, though for me, I do a double cleanse with this. After cleansing, I wiped my face with a white washcloth to confirm my skin was clean. The challenge with this product is the dispensing mechanism. There is a lot of squeezing involved to get product out of the tube. However, other than using a jar, I can't think of another dispensing mechanism that would work. And, a jar means you are contaminated the product as you dip into it, so I would rather have the tube. The upside is that it minimizes waste in that you don't risk spilling some of the product. Tip, after dispensing a small amount of product, add water to your hands and massage to work up a lather. You can continue to add water to your hands after applying it to your face to build more lather. My final comment is that I wish this brand made a shea butter-free moisturizer. I am still on the hunt for the perfect moisturizer.

This cleanser was very thick, and I had to kneed the tube to get it to dispense. I am glad I was persistent because it works into a great lather in my hands, and cleaned all makeup off of my face leaving my skin clean and not dried out. You only need a very small amount as it is very concentrated. I will reorder.
