What it does: This soothing balm melts into a rich cleansing oil to dissolve makeup and impurities. Upon contact with water, it emulsifies to a hydrating milk that easily rinses off, creating an exceptional cleansing experience. How to use: Use daily as a cleanser or weekly as a nourishing face mask. Warm a pea-sized amount between your palms then massage over your face, neck and décolletage with light, circular motions. Moisten your fingertips and continue to massage in. Remove with a warm, damp cleansing cloth.

Beautiful texture and finish!
I'm somewhat of a cleansing balm junkie - I have tried probably 10 different ones now, mostly K-beauty brands. This one stands out! It is creamy, smooth, and melts on the skin into a glorious rose-scented oil that removes all makeup and sunscreen. It truly feels like skincare, not just a cleansing product. As opposed to other balms that you splash water on to emulsify and wash off, with this one you use a warm wet flannel or washcloth, which adds to the spa-like experience (and keeps your shirtfront dry, haha). I use dark-colored washcloths for my face only and I can SEE the sunscreen come off with this balm! And a little light exfoliation from the cloth doesn't hurt either. Overall, I was skeptical that this would be worth the price tag (the travel size is as expensive as most full-size K-beauty balms I've tried), but it is absolutely worth it. I will be purchasing the full size when this one runs out!

Don't Like It

I don't even like to use it to just cleanse my face. It has the consistency of Vasoline, it's very greasy and leaves a film on my face that's hard to remove even using a hot face cloth. It's just glorified petroleum jelly. I'm glad I bought the small size, not a lot of money wasted. I threw it away.

Love this!
Works great to exfoliate as well as cleanse. I’ve been using retinol that leaves my skin flaky/peeling. This easily gets rid of all of that and leaves my skin hydrated and soft.

OMG Why does this have to be so expensive? I LOVE it! Immediately takes off all makeup, including mascara (without leaving raccoon eyes). Only need a small amount. If you do not like rose fragrance, you will not like this. I love rose scents so this does not bother me. Will repurchase when back on sale!

Highly Recommend for Travelling
I don't find any difference between this cleansing balm and the regular Elemis cleansing balm except it has a rose scent which is pleasant to me. This stuff works as effectively as any cleansing oil with removing makeup and sunscreen. Also, I don't use a wash cloth; I simply rub on and rinse off. It is especially great for travelling because unlike cleansing oils this stuff is virtually solid (a little firmer than petroleum jelly) with no mess/leaks.

The best makeup remover
This cleaner removes makeup so well - even mascara. I use it as the first step of my double cleansing routine and follow up with a foaming cleanser. The smell is so beautiful and makes using the product a wonderful experience during my skincare routine at the end of the day. Highly recommend!
