Private Blend Tobacco Vanille All Over Body Spray

Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille body spray is quite an interesting scent. It is a very sweet fragrance, with a subtle hint of tobacco and spice. However, the main component (for my nose, that is) is the "vanille", or vanilla aspect. I wore this for the first time to class at my university, and immediately received a compliment from a local barista working the morning shift. They stated that it was "so sweet", and seemed to really like it. Its scent is reminiscent of the cough medicine I usually take for a cold that is called "Robitussin". When I first sprayed this, I was honestly very disappointed. From all of the reviews I had read for the cologne version (I definitely recommend you read reviews for the body spray AND cologne version of this scent before purchasing, cause that price is YIKES expensive), I was expecting a very rich, sultry, luxurious tobacco and vanilla scent; a scent that was going to be slightly sweet but predominantly spicy. I really wanted it to smell strongly of tobacco, but when I sprayed it in my room after having received my package via UPS, I was (sadly) surprised to find that it almost had a medicinal, cough-suppressant-esque vibe to it. It has been about a week since I've purchased this body spray, and I am slowly coming to appreciate its rather unique scent. Its VERY sweet, very slightly spicy (it does possess remnants of tobacco to it, which is nice), and not very long lasting. As someone who strongly appreciates colognes and body sprays that last a long time (think LUSH's Gorilla perfumes or Jo Malone Red Roses cologne in terms of longevity), I was pretty disappointed in the longevity of this body spray; for the price I paid, I was hoping it would have some serious projection and lasting power but realized that its scent would sort of disappeared after about 30-60 minutes or so. I've heard that the cologne version is MUCH stronger, and that the scent is slightly different, so I'd recommend trying both before making a purchase.

I was terribly disappointed in this body spray. It smells cheap and sweet at first spray. Very heavy vanilla scent...no tobacco at all then "poof" it's gone. I don't think one drop made it into my freshly showered skin. Happy I didn't spend $260.00 for the parfum. Going back to Hermes which is my signature, very classy scent. Nice meeting you Tom Ford but you are not my type. Enjoy my money.

I have many perfumes and vanilla is one of my fav scents but this one smells like powder. The vanilla isn't strong enough and when it dries it smells Like Tabacco powder .. The scent does last all day which is surprising for a body spray. It is different then any other scent but just enough vanilla for me..

The all over body spray smells just like the cologne. I use the body spray in a daily basis and the cologne only when I go out. I love the smell of the Tobacco Vanille I received so many compliments everywhere I go. During the last week of 2017, I took care of my mother who was in the hospital, every time a nurse walked in, she commented on how wonderful the room smells. Buy it, you will not regret it!
