Amazing
Best primer I have ever used, smooth and lightweight and allows my makeup to go on seamlessly. I struggle with dry under eyes, which makes my makeup crease, but whenever I use this it smooths that out. Suitable for long wear also. Will buy again and again.

Ok
I am a big fan of Hourglass, including the tinted veil, and was excited to try a sample of this primer. While it’s a nice base moisture layer to prime skin before makeup, it didn’t make a particular difference compared to just using regular moisturiser or a different primer - there are definitely more luminous primers out there if that’s the desired effect e.g. Vieve’s golden skin nova, so this is one HG product that is not worth the money.

Great Primer
I am not usually someone who uses a primer as I find my foundation usually lasts pretty well without it (Lisa Eldridge Seemless Skin Foundation), however, I received a sample size of this and thought I would give it a whirl. Lovely light texture which absorbs into the skin really well - you hardly know you have it on. I’ve heard some primers case pilling, but there are no issues here. Felt this was a great canvas for my foundation and probably did help it to stay put a little longer. Will be buying the full size

Got to try this as a free sample, wasn’t overly impressed given the price point. Didn’t leave a nice finish but nothing to different to other serums. Lasted me a few applications though. Worth trying a sample before going for the full thing. I prefer a dewier finish like that with the tatcha dewy skin serum.

Loved it l
I received a sample of this cream and I really loved it. I have dry skin but I tend to wear full coverage foundation as I have very red skin so I need a good moisture, a lot of moistures that are for dry skin are so rich and heavy that they make my foundation slip off or make my foundation oxidise throughout the day. It’s really hard to found a good one. This moisturiser seemed to work really well at creating a good base for my foundation and offering a good amount of moisture to my skin. I know it doesn’t have an spf but my foundation has a good spf so that doesn’t put me off this product, I just hope it’s as good in the winter months when my skin is at its worst.

Not my favourite Hourglass product
The Illusion Priming Moisturiser delivers a luxurious hybrid of skincare and primer. It melts into the skin, offering immediate and lasting hydration thanks to its powerful blend of hyaluronic acid. I find it to be too heavy for my ‘normal’ skin. It it meant for daytime wear and yet doesn’t have any SPF at all. I love Hourglass, but this product is not for me.
