Sizing isn’t forgiving
These are great quality pants, but finding the right fit is tricky. The size chart doesn’t provide specific measurements for each size (just a measurement range) and the pants are woven so there’s no flexibility on size. Adidas recommended me a 14 (my usual size in jeans is 12-14, Large in joggers, 34” waist). The 14 was far too tight so I ordered a 16. The 16 wasn’t much larger (only about 1”) and still felt tight in the hips. I wanted these to be comfortable without fear of ripping them, so I ordered an 18 to try one last time. I highly recommend measuring yourself against the chart and sizing up as this has belt loops anyway if it ends up being a bit large. I still love the pants and won’t let the tag upset me but being a 12-14 having to wear an 18 was a shock.
