Pearl Drop Earrings

I reviewed this product before, but my bad review was deleted. The backings on these earrings are too loose, and one of the earrings fell out the second time I wore it. I found the earring thank God, but the backing was lost. Nordstrom refused to replace it because I hadn’t created an account when I bought the product, I just checked out as a guest. I offered to make an account then and they said they still wouldn’t replace the backing because I hadn’t had an account when I placed the order. I wouldn’t buy this product. With such poor quality backing, it’s not worth risking losing such an expensive earring. I expected a lot more considering what I paid.

I ordered these earrings for my fiancée to wear for our wedding. She wore them a couple of times beforehand, and the third time they were worn the back fell off and the earring fell out. Luckily we were able to find the earring itself, but the back was lost. I read several reviews saying the backing was too loose so wasn’t surprised. I contacted the company asking that they send a replacement backing. The company refused and said they could only do so if I had made an account. Because I checked out as a guest to avoid making an account and being bombarded with emails from the company advertising their products, they refused to replace the defective part. They informed me that my only option was to ship the product back at my own expense and wait till they received it, at which point they could replace the entire product. Given how soon the wedding is, this was not an option for us. We explained this and were again told that they couldn’t replace the part because we didn’t have an account. We offered to make an account then, but they said that wouldn’t work. All the reviews saying the backing on these earrings is defective and slips off are accurate. For a piece of jewelry as expensive as this, I expected much better quality and customer service. I won’t be shopping with this company again, and I don’t recommend anyone else do so.
