Aldaya Musketeer Tall Boot

Online, these boots looked exactly what I have been searching for: caramel leather, tall, classic. However, they didn’t work for me. The height hit me in the middle of my knee (5’10”), and there was hardly any structure to the boots, so they wrinkled up and sagged easily. The search for tall, classic riding boots continues.

I have a couple of concerns regarding these boots. I have been searching for a low heel cognac leather boot for awhile had hoped these would fit the bill. First issue is they run small. I am a true size 9, which is what I ordered. They fit very small, more like an 8. I noticed on the shoe box that they are a European size 39, which typically in European sizes, I need a 40. Not sure if that was my error in missing the sizing difference or why the 39/9 run small. Second issue is they give the appearance of a true riding boot and personally did not want that for my new boot. And finally, I also thought the leather did not look expensive and I even had to double check that the material was not a faux leather.

I usually wear a 9.5, so I ordered a 10. They are still so tight though! So I’m ordering a size 11, yikes! They’re cute over the knee boots. I’m 5’7” (my length is mostly from my legs) and these go over my knee. The quality of leather looks good, not flimsy or thin leather. The inside of the boot is a very soft suede looking cotton or maybe it really is suede, either way it’s super soft inside. I hope the size 11 fits!

Leather is soft and of good quality but boot is very narrow and the width of the calf also! I gave it 3 stars because of the sizing.

These were exactly what I was looking for — they’re classic riding boots that hit just above my knee. I’m 5’7” and have long legs and slim calves and usually wear an 8.5 so I bought these in a 9 and they fit perfectly. I’m very pleased with them.

Loved these boots but ran a full size too small. Had to return.
