Jackson Crown Lite Microcheck Performance Twill Button-Up Shirt

I purchased the Jackson Crown Lite Cotton Stretch Sport Shirt in Deep Verdant specifically to layer under my Crown Heritage V-neck cashmere sweater in Balsam, and the combination works beautifully. The soft stretch cotton fits snugly under the sweater while still allowing for easy movement—exactly what you want in a layering piece. However, I do have one significant critique: the collar is too soft and doesn't hold its shape well. I prefer a stiffer, more structured collar that maintains a crisp appearance throughout the day. I even tried inserting my own metal collar stays, but it didn't help as much as I'd hoped. Despite this collar issue, Peter Millar got everything else about this shirt just right. If they could improve the collar construction to give it more body and structure, I'd definitely consider purchasing more of these shirts. The fit, fabric, and overall quality are all there—it's really just that one element holding it back from being perfect.
