Bonnie Cotton & Linen Button-Up Shirt & Shorts Set

The material was a bit rough and the shorts were lined with the same material so it wasn’t as light and airy as I expected. I also struggled with the sizing of the shorts and the top—I needed the small on the bottom and x-small for the top given I’m shorter and the small top completely drowned me. Had these been sold separately I could’ve made it work, but unfortunately I had to return both the small and x-small.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high hopes for this two piece but was bummed when it arrived. I would’ve sent it back but I didn’t have time before my event and needed a yellow outfit. Luckily I’ve taken fabric and sewing classes and know how to manipulate and “fix” garments but it was a lot of work. The issues: 1) there were so many messy threads sticking out of the seams that I had to trim (only pictures I have bc I didn’t love the way it looked on me) ; 2) the seams were poorly constructed and so twisted, especially in the shorts, I had to do a lot of pressing of them so they wouldn’t look so poofy and weird; 3) the fabric was very stiff when it arrived so I had to wash it in the washing machine twice on cold just to get it to relax - it’s not recommended on the tag but I have experience in washing linen fabrics and it helped a lot. Pros: 1) love the oversized look; 2) the print is great
