Peplum Denim Jacket

I was crushed when I received these jackets in white and green. I had planned to order the denim as well and wish it came in other colors. That is, until I tried the jacket on. The puffy sleeves remind me of old prom dresses from the 80's. Otherwise, the jacket has a little stretch, the peplum is minimal and flattering, and these would be great neutral layers. So frustrated. Returned.

I loved the stretch fabric in this light-weight jacket. Very nicely made. However, as others have said, the shoulders are very gathered and puff up when you put it on. You can’t really tell much from the online photos but it just made it look out dated and strange. Plus the sleeves were extremely long, well past my finger tips and doesn’t look good rolled up. Had to return. Runs a little bit large

The fabric is nice, but the material that is turned back inside at the cuffs is not attached, so it is pushed outside, noticeable, when you put on the jacket. This would need to have a seamstress attach it inside to hold it back inside. Also, the peplum sticks out like a duct tail right in the middle of my rear! Not attractive, would need a tailor to reduce peplum, (not visible in pictures online). My weight 140, 5 foot 6, average build, so I do not have a large rear to cause peplum to stick out like it does. Returned.

These jackets are absolutely adorable — IF you try it on in the correct size, which is at least one size down from your regular size. All the prior reviewers who complained about the “weird” puffy sleeves clearly had tried too large a size. I too typically prefer a more oversized look with outerwear so I initially tried the jacket on in large — and it was utterly ridiculous!!! No joke. Clown like sleeves! I then sized down to medium and could finally begin to appreciate the cute peplum cut but the “puffy” sleeves still made me look like a line backer! So I sized down yet again to a size small, and perfection!!!! Such a cute jacket when you get it in the right size! I purchased it in both white and denim and love them equally. Unlike most denim jackets that are made of a thick, heavy denim, these are light and soft as butter! If you already own jeans by Wit & Wisdom, you know the sublime butter feel! This jacket is just like that! The white in particular is the perfect spring accompaniment to wear with a floral dress, providing a more polished, structured look to your Mother’s Day or Easter attire than the traditional, boring cardigan most everyone wears.
