Great, warm, safe boot for rain and snow.
Absolutely love these. The craftsmanship is really apparent in these, they’re warm, comfortable, and easy to wear. I got these as a way to work a retail job without having to switch out my shoes before and after every shift when it’s raining/snowing and they’re great through the full 8 hours. There’s also minimal slipping over patches of black ice. I wear them with a nice boot sock but even combed cotton socks are great too and they don’t get overbearingly hot. I also really appreciated this all black look.

Quality boot
Bought these and the Sperrys at about the same price, and these are much higher quality. Tread on the bottom is deeper and feels safer. Rubber is thicker, feels sturdier. Every detail feels high quality.
They do run a bit large. Normally I wear a size 11 for athletic shoes and boots. These fit me perfect in a size 10.

Toasty and dry
I waited to write this review until it snowed, which it unexpectedly did last week for the first time. These boots are awesome! I was able to wade through snow, slush, and unexpected puddles (once the snow turned to torrential rain) with no problem. The tread is excellent and my feet remained dry. The wool lining feels nice and cushy around my ankles. I'm not a big fan of the classic duck boot look, but these are a little more understated.
They do run a little large. I ordered an 8, but these felt more like an 8.5, even with thick socks. Looping the laces around my ankles and tying them in front did enough to hold my feet in place. I hope these last!

Rubber Spliting
These boots completely fell apart on me after one year. The rubber started to split everywhere. Both boots had splits on the top by the toes. Just recently, I noticed my feet were wet when walking in them and found the whole sole separating from the top portion on both boots. They seemed so high quality when I first got them, so it was very unfortunate to see this happen.

Not typical, but this order ran small...
These normally run large, but I ordered the brown in 6US, and they were a true 6 and too small. I have the black in 6US and they fit perfectly. Back when I bought my black ones a couple years ago, I tried on the 7 and they were way too big. Exchanging the brown by mail for a 7. I’ll update my review once they get here.
I will say this, my black ones are so cushy, warm, and comfortable and have great traction in snow. Just order two sizes and send one back. You will love them!

not a fan
Let me preface this by saying I’m a total Pendleton fan. I’m a true 7M. Too long, too wide, too high in the forefoot. I have flat low volume feet. Plus not warm. Cold inside. I have the uggs Cecile which fits better and better quality. I wanted a rubber version for mud, sleet and muck. Could not return fast enough. Sticking w uggs Cecile and Adirondack boots.
