Best quality coat brand I have ever found
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This year was the year- I bought a new Columbia coat to replace the one I’ve been wearing for 25 years since college. Couldn’t be more happy with this coat, the color, the fit, the warmth in this crazy winter cold we are having. Here is to hoping I get another 25 years out of this coat!

All Promise, No Performance
I expected this to be a dependable three in one winter coat, something sturdy, warm, and thoughtfully designed. Instead, I was met with disappointment the moment I put it on. The adjustable waist is nothing more than a decorative elastic band. It tightens maybe an inch on each side, which does absolutely nothing for fit or shape.
The sizing is off. It fits well in the chest, but the rest of the coat is far too big, and the arms are uncomfortably long. The overall shape feels sloppy rather than flattering.
The inner jacket is not waterproof, which completely defeats the entire point of a three in one system. If the liner cannot handle snow on its own, then what exactly is it there for. It turns the whole design into a gimmick rather than a functional feature.
Then there is the zipper. On the very first attempt to zip it up, it was already sticking and catching. I had not even worn the coat yet, and it was already struggling.
This coat may look fine at first glance, but functionally it fails where it matters most. I will be returning it without hesitation.

Fine, but weird pockets
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the general structure, but the chest pockets are angled the wrong way, so you can't put your hands in them to keep them warm. I think this runs larger than same cut from a few years ago.

Long and cozy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Warm and good quality. Haven't tested it fully since it's already getting up to 70 here, but I look forward to using it as a rain jacket soon. The sleeves are a little long, I'm 5'4, 150lbs and it fits, but I don't think I could go down a size.

Overall a good jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this jacket. The rich wine color is lovely. Columbia has put a lot of thought into making this jacket great for being outdoors in the winter. The pink inner jacket is fine as a coordinating lining, but I'm not sure pink is my best color as a stand alone color. I probably won't be wearing it alone. I like that it is not as vibrant pink as shown in the garment photos. I tested the jacket when it was 40 degrees and it kept me warm, so the next day I tested it at 28 degrees and it kept me warm. Both times, my arms felt a little cool, so on the 28 degree day, I added a wool sweater, but my arms still felt cool. I wish the omni-heat lining extended into the sleeves.
My upper body is a size smaller than my hip area, so I ordered based on my hip measurements. When I compared the model's measurement and the stated garment size with the size chart, I realized she was wearing a jacket that was larger than her measurements indicated that she needed. It did not look too big on her, so I felt comfortable ordering based on my hip size, a size that is larger than I need in the bust and waist area. I'm happy with that choice. The zippers at the hip area looked like a good way to have added hip room, but the bottom of the zipper on my jacket falls at mid thigh level on me, so the zippers are useless as added hip room, but they make sitting down in the coat much more comfortable. On size L, the zippers at the widest part (hem area) spreads slightly more than 2 inches on each side, for a total of 4+ inches. If you are considering this coat for added hip room, measure your back and see where the coat length would fall on your body.
There are options to customize the fit at the waist and sleeve hem and the hood. The fur trim buttons off. The cuffs and center back of the inner jacket have anchor points on the outer jacket that keeps the two pieces together. The sleeves are a little long on me, but I like that. It makes sure there is no gap between my glove and the jacket. It also makes it easy to hide my hands in the sleeve if I don't have gloves on. The pockets in the outer jacket are not all that warm. I wish there was an opening so I could get my hands into the inner jacket's pockets. Maybe an idea for future development, Columbia.

Mom LOVES her new jacket!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Mom, who's now in her 70's, needed a new winter jacket. And living in New England I wanted her to have one that not only kept her toasty warm, but could adapt to 30° - 40° changes in temp over a short period of time. This jacket DIDN'T DISAPPOINT!!! First of all, she LOVES the fit, style, and comfort. But even more so, she's excited about all the bells & whistles so to speak. Like a two-way zipper in front or the side zippers for added comfort when sitting in the car. And the collar height, so she doesn't need to carry a scarf around anymore. As well as the fitted sleeve cuff that doesn't allow wind to enter, but also has a thumb hole to hold it in place when wearing gloves. But I purchased this for her because I love the Omni-Heat Infinity, that will keep her truly warm on the coldest days New England weather throws at us. But, when we have those occasional 55° - 60° days in the middle of January, she can unzip & shed the outer layer allowing her to be comfortable while still staying warm... This jacket was DEFINITELY worth the investment!!!
