What it is: A scented candle perfect for small to medium-sized rooms, made from a blend of several types of waxes and a high-quality fragrance concentrate.
Fragrance story: On an island in Indonesia, fresh-cut patchouli leaves blossom in their shrubs in the shade. After cutting, they begin to dry out. Once lit, this candle releases their perfume in full: dense and dark, charged with earthy, woody, almost camphorated accents. The space is transformed into a grounded sanctuary.

disappointed
So disappointing! I love the the Dyptique
50 oz size and scents. This small candle barely adds a scent to my fairly small bathroom. Also, I am not sure why the label says ‘Patchouli’. I am a Patchouli fan from way back, I just cannot make the connection to this candle’s faint scent with Patchouli.

powerful incense scent
When I first received this candle I almost sent it back because the cold fragrance was very much like strong men's cologne. I'm glad I lit it, because the burning fragrance is much mellower and beautiful. The patchouli is a clean version, with an incensy nature, and fresh but warm woody notes of cedar or cypress. There is a subtle vanillic sweetness but it serves to highlight the overall resinous and woody nature of the scent blend. This is a very strongly scented candle with intense throw and the small size will fill my ~200sf upstairs in short order; it can be smelled unlit from several feet away. I stick to the small size because for my purposes the large would be too strong.

warn & exotic
The Diptyque line is a very sophisticated and entwined with uniqueness. This scent has a depth and woodiness that blends with other candles in the line.

nice
I have two Diptique candles (ambre and patchouli), and they are both mellow and classy. This scent is not strong, but it does fill a room after being lit for awhile. Doesn't smell like hippy patchouli but is more refined, a bit more sweet.

My Favorite
Of all the Diptyque candles, this scent is my favorite. My husband loves it. Guests love it. Smells amazing! Very sexy patchouli fragrance! Wish it was available in a room spray.

This is a beautiful candle. The logo , the scent is amazing and fills a whole room without even lighting it. I wish diptyque made this into a perfume!!! I would wear this everyday. This is a must have!
