Raven Rocks Water Repellent 700 Fill Power Down Puffer Jacket

I have 2 other NF jackets, both Nuptse style—short and much beloved. I wanted longer to cover my butt. I got a size L, usually am a M. This was a mistake as it floated out from me. I had to keep hands in pockets to keep it around my body. This jacket looks pretty, beautiful color, but fabric is thin. If you get a thing on it, hand cream from your hands, etc. , it spreads the stain until you look like you’ve been sleeping under a bridge after a few encounters. At 57, this is not the look I’m going for. I had to wash it after every wearing until one of my daughters borrowed it and snagged it on a stick and it tore. Do not recommend this new recycled fabric at all. Too thin!!! Too porous!!!

I've been searching for a black puffer for a couple of years now, and this is it. It's a great length - not too short, not too long. It has a cool sheen that the lone photo doesn't really convey, which makes it stand out in a sea of matte black puffers. Extra stars for all of the sustainability components that went into the making of this coat, from the recycled down to the recycled polyester and fair-trade manufacturing. I'm 5'4", about 140 lbs. (athletic/petite), 34C. I typically like a M in winter coats and that size worked with this one too.
