Not tear resistant.
My husband bought me this jacket for walking our dog. It is light weight and warm but it is definitely not tear resistant. I have had it for about 6 months but have only been wearing it for about the past 2 months. My dog jumped up on me caught the jacket and ripped a huge hole in the side. I got some repair tape and next time I wore it I turned around, caught it on the gate (not on anything sharp) and it ripped in another place. I think for the price the quality is not great, the filling around the bottom of the sleeves is now very thin and when it rains water obviously gets in the neck because there is no hood but also through the zip at the chest. I wouldn't recommend this jacket.

So comfy and warm!
I bought this after moving to Idaho and needing a better jacket for the below freezing temps in the winter. I am so happy with it! I love that it keeps me warm, protects me from the wind and still allows me to comfortably move around. Not too bulky - especially on me. I am 5'0" and weigh 110 lbs - bought the XS and it fits perfectly!

Not like the older version!
Last year Patagonia changed their fit on many of their jackets and made them longer and tighter. My old XS down sweater fits well but isn't much longer than my waist. I like the new length but unfortunately, the XS is too tight and the S is too big. (I'm 5'4" ,114 lbs). I still like the way it looks and it's a great jacket if you can get one to fit you.
I am not alone, because if you read the reviews on the Patagonia website, there are many people unhappy with the new fit. I had to return it.

Beautiful jacket
I have never worn this brand before so wasn't sure on the size . Ordered xs and fits perfect with room to spare. It's just past my hips and I love it. Not bulky at all. I'm 5'3 and 108lbs and I can still wear a sweatshirt under with extra length in sleeves. I purchased the French red with light blue ... greAt contrast color. I can't wait to wear something other than blk this winter yay! Great price on the anniversary sale too.

Light weight & warm
I needed a jacket to get me back and forth from the gym during the cold Pittsburgh winter. This jacket is great; it's warm without the bulk. Fits nicely in the gym locker and doesn't feel bulky. For reference I'm 5' 2", 110 lbs, slender build & I ordered the purple in an XS. The arms are a smidge too long but I think only I noticed it. Have received many compliments.
