This fragrance is one to be respected. Just two sprays changed the way people looked at me in the office. It projects and it gives off a sophisticated smell. This isn’t just any old cologne. The sweet, spicy, woody and creamy vibes I get from this fragrance in the opening and dry down will definitely get you compliments.

Very polarizing
This is a very polarizing fragrance, people are going to love it or hate it. Personally I love it but I can see how some people would not. Can be worn anytime of year and the performance is godly. So unique as well, not many people will be smelling like you if you wear this. The Blood orange smells so nice on the dry down.

I totally see the comparable characteristics to Baccarat Rouge 540 but slightly more masculine especially in the beginning of the scent. Drydown resembles BR 540 the most to me as it gets smooth, creamy and sweet. Can work in warmer weather but shines in Fall, spring, and winter. 1 to 2 sprays in summer and 2-4 sprays per wearing in colder weather should be suffice.

Blind bought this product
Unfortunately the Nordstrom near me doesn’t stock Marly fragrances.. this one was relatively new so I blind bought it based on the ladies recommendation behind the counter. It arrived in three days like she said and I love the scent. I have read mixed reviews on Kalan but I’ve gotten nothing but positive feedback from it when I wear it so I’m not sure if some ppl may have bought the bootleg version from discounters. Hopefully the kenwood Nordstrom starts stocking Marly soon.

My husband tried it few months ago and we went crazy over it. I bought it for father’s day and I will not buy it again. Its good, elegant scent, but my opinion not for the money! Its too soft for my taste. Not what I was expecting.

Another Great Launch from PDM
If you are a fan of BR540 but looking for a more masculine version, this will do the trick. To be clear this not a clone, just sits within the same family. It holds its own. PDM quality is outstanding, this is a well blended, high quality juice. Longevity and projection are above average, but not over powering. I highly recommend giving this a try. I picked mine up at the PDM Boutique last month and it has become one of my go to scents.
