Quietly luxurious and well-made
[Employee of parachutehome] These are exceptional. The waffle texture feels substantial and surprisingly thick, while still drying quickly and staying breathable.
They strike a perfect balance—soft, absorbent, and structured without feeling bulky. The charcoal tone adds depth and elevates the space in a really understated way.
They feel considered, high-quality, and well worth it.

Disappointed
[Employee of parachutehome] Unfortunately the waffle towels were not the same quality as my other beloved Parachute towels. They are very thin and don’t absorb water at all so I’ll never use them and cannot return because they were on sale.

Almost great, but in the end a fail
We ask a lot of towels- be super absorbent yet release that water incredibly fast so they dry quickly, be soft and luxurious and look fantastic. I am looking for towels as I plan to move onto a boat in a high humidity area, so add to that list that I want towels that are extremely light weight so they can be washed in a small machine. These towels come very close to meeting the list. As for weight, the bath towel weighs approximately 14 ounces (my standard towel is about 20 oz, and my most luxurious towel is 25 ounces). I find the towels very soft and surprisingly plush. The waffle weave gives a very delicate appearance, easily noting individual threads, which I find visually appealing but some may not. I will note I have no trouble with snags, but completely understand the reviewers who do- jewelry and these towels would not mix. The color is appealing, although I would have chosen another color if it weren't for the fact this color was on sale. The towels do a truly amazing job of quickly absorbing water (absolutely suck water right up) and for me dry very fast hanging over a towel bar. At this point they seem perfect.
What are the issues?
1. The waffle weave creates a very springy feeling to the towel, with very little structure. To be honest, this wouldn't be a problem, except...
2. The area of the towel is too large (30" x 56"), about 3 inches wider and 4 inches larger than a typical bath towel, which seems like it would be great (it is not). In combination with the springiness, these towels flop all over. I typically put my towel over the corner of the shower stall, but with these towels they behave like an amoeba, oozing to one side or the other, either ending up on the floor or in the shower. In addition, the extra large size and the stretch means that when they are hanging on the towel rack they don't have nice straight edges, but rather curve and look worn out. Even worse, when drying off in the shower they have a tendency to bounce, stretching to the shower pan where they immediately suck up water, leaving you with a wet towel.
3. The towel wets out quickly- again not exactly a problem, yet it is. The very low GSM (which I thought I wanted) means they simply cannot hold a ton of water per square meter (or inch). The waffle weave design means they do an impressive job of holding a lot of water for their weight, but there is simply a limit. You can easily see this on the towel as there are dark areas that are wetted out and lighter areas that are still useful for drying off. If you are willing to keep finding the dry areas, the towel works well. For me- I get about 80% dry without a ton of effort but very difficult to get completely dry.
I suspect these observations help explain the disparity in reviews- if you are willing to put in the effort, these towels will definitely dry you off and the loose weave will allow them to dry out quickly. If you are like me, they will get you mostly dried off but are rather annoying.
Because the towels were on sale and not eligible for exchange and I like to solve problems, I folded a bath towel in half and stitched the edges, creating a towel twice as thick and half the area (now 30"x28"). This 100% worked! Water absorption remains very quick, and when wetting out I simply flip to the other side. I easily get 100% dry with this Frankenstein towel and it still dries out in a few hours on the towel bar. It is even softer an very plush. The amoeba effect is also lessened, as there is less hanging towel. Of course no one would want a bath towel this size, but it tells you what the design flaw is. Parachute needed to make these towels a more standard size and simply make them thicker. Huge improvement in absorbency and user experience with very little impact on drying time. A poor design choice has made these almost perfect towels candidates for donation to my local pet shelter. If Parachute redesigns so that the same 14 ounces of material are in a thicker towel with a more standard length and width, they would be an ideal towel. As they are now, I cannot recommend them

Very thin
The “towel” is beautiful but it’s more like a thin, short blanket than a towel. As long as you know it’s not a towel, you’ll be fine. It’s very pretty.

Beautiful towel
I purchased this towel to replace my waffle we’ve 100% linen towels. I always start with a hand towel to try a new product. The towel has a large, cushy waffle weave and is very absorbent. An extra plus is the hanging loop. Some waffle towels I researched said not to hang them from a hook or they could become misshapened. That’s not a problem with this towel. I took a star off because I wish it dried faster, but it doesn’t because of the fluffy weave.

Quality does not justify the price
These waffle towels are overpriced. They are thin, and the weave is not high-quality. Love the color, but would not order again.
