Silk Robe

This is a gorgeous robe, and I'm happy I chose the cinnamon color. I went with a size bigger because I wanted a bit more room over PJs. I probably could've gone with my usual size, but the robe still drapes nicely and doesn't look big and messy on me. The robe is 100% silk so, yes, it wrinkles after a wash. Educate yourself on the fabric of the item you're purchasing. So much clothing is made from synthetic material, which generally resists wrinkling. Natural fibers like cotton and silk do not. Consumers have gotten used to rayon and polyester and think a wrinkled silk article is somehow a manufacturing flaw. I'll take a slightly wrinkled natural fiber all-silk robe over icky polyester on my skin always. Still feels 100% better. If the wrinkles bother you, there's always the iron - just be very cautious when ironing silk. Look for reliable directions and follow them.
