Papillio by Birkenstock Boston Chunky Platform Clog (Women)

I’m so disappointed in the quality control for Nordstrom. I was pleasantly surprised when they had my size back in stock but was beyond disappointed when I got them in the mail. I received used/dirty clogs. So disappointing they actually would send a clearly used pair to a paying customer.

I wanted to love these, but they are really big. I have other Birks (4 pairs, all size 37) and when I held this pair of 37’s up to a pair of Arizonas, they were a half an inch longer and a half inch wider. Even a heavy sock wouldn’t make these work. They felt easy to walk in, which is why two stars instead of one. I may exchange for a pair of 36’s, since I do like them, but the width isn’t as easy to correct as the length. My other Birks are all narrow to medium, which seemed to be what Nordstrom calls a B width and the footprint inside the shoe indicates that, but not compared to my other shoes.

Something is off with these Birkenstock Boston Clogs. I bought them during the Anniversary Sale to wear in the fall. They are so wide I'd have to wear 3 pairs of wool socks to keep them on my feet. Same Birkenstock size as my other ones. They feel as if they were designed for a man's foot. I have two pairs of Boston's, 1 pair of Arizona, and a pair of Birkenstock boots. This is the first time I've been disappointed. They're going back.
