Beautiful, Buy Disappointing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dress doesn't know what to do with my boobs. It makes my chest look like lopsided pyramids, and no matter what creative approaches to padding I attempt, my girls look sad. This really is a beautiful dress. Wish it had worked out.

Dress
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a lovely dress, it does run small in usually an 8-10 and the size 12 fits just fine, maybe a little snug in the middle but I tried the size 14 at the store and the chest area was loose.

Nice dress but size up
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Madewell dresses tend to run larger, especially the smocked ones. The smocking here is in the belly- not the chest area, and it runs tighter. I am a 12/14 and often take a 10 in smocked dresses but I’m glad I went with 14. It fits but any smaller would be way too small. I have a large chest (38DD) and the chest area has plenty of room. Overall it’s an adorable dress and I received lots of compliments! It’s also going to be good for fall into early winter as a sweater or jacket easily fits over and it looks great as a skirt. The bubble hem is not extreme at all so this doesn’t feel like a trend piece. I’m sure I’ll enjoy this dress for many seasons to come.

Great if you’re short!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this dress! I’m 5'0”, 32C, and 125 lbs, and the size 4 fit perfectly. The fabric, pockets, and length are just right. I also love that the straps are adjustable for a customizable fit. The bubble hem is such a fun detail… playful but still subtle thanks to the soft material.
