Transcend - Verdugo Ankle Ultra Skinny Jeans

I have been on a *serious* hunt for the perfect pair of black pants. My go-to pair has been weathered from so much wear so I needed a replacement ASAP. I've tried high, middle, low end brands in my search... and alas, my search has finally ended with these Paige Verdugo Ankle pants! For reference, I'm 5'3"-ish and 120 lbs with athletic/muscular (aka not stick skinny) legs. I usually wear 26-27 in pants and went with the 27 in these. Due to my height, I wear these like regular length pants (not "ankle" length) which is what I was looking for. Color is a true, deep saturated black. The material feels so soft and heavenly. We'll have to wait and see if the claim that it doesn't stretch out really holds true but so far so good. The price is definitely on the higher end but just goes to show I was willing to pay more to find the right pair!! Fingers crossed that they will go on sale so I can get a back-up pair.

I ordered in my usual Paige 29, at first I loved them. Usual Wonderful Paige fit, deep inky black, perfect ankle length... but after a few wear and washes, I noticed they had started to develop pulls in the fabric across the hips. I had taken my usual size, and none of my other paige’s had this problem so I chalked it up to a single quality control issue. Nordstrom kindly exchanged them, and the pair they sent fit like they were two sizes too small—could barely button them. I returned them, and gave up. A few weeks later, I saw that these had gone on sale so I figured i’d give it one more shot since I loved the first ones so much. At first, they fit the same as the first pair—after the first wear, however, they had stretched out so much I could take them off without unzipping or unbuttoning. Sadly, I will not be re-ordering. I love Paige, so I hope the quality and inconsistent sizing issues are an abnormality only found in this style.

This is the best skinny jean in existence, hands down. I've worn almost all of the other designer brands and this jean fits the best and is the most comfortable. Honestly, these jeans are as comfortable as pajamas. They hug and flatter your figure without feeling constrictive yet they won't stretch out. I'm 5'3" usually a size 27-28 but I purchased the 29. I also purchased the same jean in gray. I plan on purchasing one more pair in a traditional jean wash. Highly recommended.

Perfect for shorter girls, I"m 5'2" and these are great. Minus one star b/c for me the Hoxton is slightly better than the Verdugo, something about these is not as forgiving? Still, kept them and love them. TTS, I'm 115#, got size 25, they don't stretch out and the rise is perfect, not uncomfortable when I sit down. On my height, wears like mid to higher rise. I think the fabric is better than my FRAME jeans, makes my thighs look better

I've waited to write a review on these jeans after owning them for a couple of months so I could accurately describe how they have withheld washing, wearing, etc. I am extremely picky about black jeans - I have invested in many pairs, but never any in this price range. With my old pairs, I would grow extremely frustrated and annoyed. After only wearing them a few times, I would notice that they would lose their color and become stiff & starchy (I typically only wash my jeans once every couple of weeks and never dry them so they don't shrink). I became fed up so I decided to invest in a pair of better quality jeans than what I had previously (I own the blue pair already and LOVE them). After owning these for about two months, they still look brand new. The black color does not look washed or faded whatsoever. The jeans fit the same way as they did when I first got them & they have not lost their elasticity. Very pleased with them and would definitely recommend for anyone on the fence!! For reference, I am 5'7", 140 pounds, athletic legs. Bought size 28, fits true to size.
