The down hat is a great addition to my backpacking and bikepacking kit. At night, in my tent, I can pull it down over my eyes and ears, sleep thru the night, not hearing a thing and not awake with lights. Oh, and it's also warm 😀

This hat wouldn’t fit a baby.
Looks like a doll’s hat. Waited almost 2 weeks and then it shows up as a party hat.

Super packable, very warm.
I was gifted this about two years ago, and I loved it so much. I ended up buying another one for my husband. It is very packable, it keeps your head warm, and it looks cute. The one thing, is it slides off your head. I have long hair, and I always wear a braid, so tucking my braid into the back of the hat, keeps it secure. My husband has short hair, and it stays on his head no problem. It’s a fantastic product, great for winter sleeping.

I didn’t expect a beanie to impress me this much, but it honestly surprised me. The first time I threw it on, I stepped outside into that sharp, early-morning cold—the kind that usually bites through anything—and I barely felt it. It was like switching on a heater I didn’t have to carry.
What I love most is how effortlessly warm it is. No fiddling with layers, no “give it a minute to heat up.” Instant comfort. The down lofts perfectly around your head without feeling bulky, and the inside is soft enough that I’ve caught myself wearing it indoors longer than I meant to.
It’s become the beanie I automatically grab, whether I’m stepping out to load the truck, taking a walk with the family, or heading into the woods before sunrise. Even stuffed into a pocket or pack, it pops right back into shape with that same dependable warmth every time.
There’s something about gear that just works—no drama, no cold spots, no overthinking it. This beanie is exactly that. It’s honestly one of the best little pieces of kit I’ve picked up in a while, and it’s earned its spot as a daily shoulder season plus essential for me.

Fell short of what it could be
I finally convinced the misses to go on a cold overnighter. We purchased these S/M to fit our head sizes 7 3/8, 7 1/4. The material felt great throughout the day however over time the stretch stitch cord began to dig into our heads, ears, and even pull hair. We swapped them out periodically with other beanies and then placed back on after a while. Same result! Still painful to wear. The true tell was when we began to lay down for sleeping and hers kept sliding off of her head. They're super noisy and kept us up as the material has a swishing sound much like junky running pants. Took bag to store and replaced with the Large size, not only did the look dumpy they felt so sloppy. We really wanted these to be our solution for those cold nights or even days but they just don't cut it! Maybe they need to invest in a true Medium size vise trying to bridge the gap between the groups of sizes.

Runs so small, everyone needs the bigger size
Packs well, very lightweight. But runs sooooo small! I knew this but my head is 21 inches, not at all between sizes, so I ordered the S/M. It's fine just lounging around but it doesn't go down over my ears enough to stay on when sleeping.
