Curl Jelly

There's a learning curve to using this product but once I figured it out, I won't ever be without. On its own, it could have been used in the movie There's Something About Mary. I has STRONG hold. If not dispersed evenly it leaves a crunchy curl. I use a pump or two mixed with curl cream, or Moroccan oil, or any of those products that claim they are perfect for my curly hair but just leave my hair feeling soft but still looking big and frizzy. I need hold. I'm looking for something to tame the volume and create curl separation. That's what this product does.

I am always looking for new hair products for my wavy/curly hair. This jelly smells fantastic and is working perfectly for me.

Allure best of beauty ranked the Ouai's curl jelly as best curl product. So I had to try it. The jelly is very runny, it ran allover my hand. Once I got the product in my hair, it felt sticky. I diffused my hair and the end product was sticky, crunchy curls. Not worth $26 for 4.35 ounces.

This jelly gives me a softer curl than the Aveda products, and good definition. It will survive a combing, unlike some other products. You will probably want to add a leave-in conditioner.

I have only used it once and it was good so far - I'll update later if anything changes. Key is to not use too much or you'll end up crunchy.

I have been a loyal user of Bumble & Bumble Curl Creme (now defining creme) for over 10 years. Every so often when I see a product like this one that people have raved about I try it to compare. LESS THAN IMPRESSED. I use less of my B&B product and get better defined curls. This felt like a watered down gel that provided nothing to my curls. For reference, I have fine hair, but lots of it. My curls are wavy on the bottom and a medium curl on the top layers. After using this product I felt like my hair looked air dried.
