Organic Linen Shell

I really wanted this top in teal to go with the pants. This shell and the denim one both have armhole problems for me. I am 5'3, 42D. The XL would fit perfectly if not for the outward gape in the front. There seems to be a problem with the sleeveless shell pattern sloper. A shoulder or underarm alteration wouldn't easily fix the gap; it seems to call for a downward angled dart. It's not a new problem; I hope you can fix it in future.

Absolutely gorgeous fabric and color. High quality linen, great weight. However, the length was too short for me and hit me right at the belly button. If it were even one inch longe, this top would have been a fabulous addition to my summer wardrobe of lantern and wider pants and skirts. As it is, the top is not long enough to cover the very top of my pants. I like to have tops cover the top 1-2 inches of pants ( but no longer with the lantern and wide pant shapes). I suppose that the length varies with body type. I am almost 5’6” and not long or short waisted, just average. I was hoping this top would work because it truly is a gorgeous color and lovely fabric. PS I could not size up from small because the arm holes and chest would then be too large.

Not at all what I was expecting. I bought my usual size in EF tops, a small, and it was too long to be a short or cropped top, and too narrow on the bottom, and too wide in the chest/armhole area. Didn't look like it does in the photos, and didn't look the same as other similar tops I have from EF in different fabrics. The usual very nice linen and a great color but the style was not workable for me.
