Nice machine, for a short time
We bought this unit about a year ago, used it pretty much only on weekends, nice while it worked, but it didn't last long! The Milk Frother Unit clogs up very very easily with its very small aperture, Impossible (thus far) to find a replacement part for the Frother Head Unit ... one would think that as easily as these clog and difficult/impossible to really clean that they would at least sell replacement parts for them ... but No! My advice ... spend a little more and buy a better-quality unit than this "cheap" option. You'll be buying a nother unit when this one fails in a year or so anyway. Cheap quality ... cheap price!

Thank you for reaching out to Mr. Coffee®. We appreciate your time and effort in bringing this to our attention. We are sorry to hear that the Milk Frother clogs up. No worries, we are here to help.
Although you can store the milk reservoir with leftover milk in the refrigerator, it is important to clean the reservoir and frothing tube regularly to avoid clogging and residue build-up. To clean the milk reservoir, please follow the instructions listed below:
1. Remove the milk reservoir from the unit by lifting the milk reservoir release button and simultaneously sliding the milk reservoir out.
2. Remove the lid of the reservoir.
3. Dispose of any milk left, then rinse and wash the milk reservoir and its lid thoroughly with warm soapy water. Make sure to rinse and dry them well. Do not use abrasive cleaners and scouring pads, as they will scratch the finish.
Note: The milk reservoir is also dishwasher safe (top rack). Do not place the lid of the milk reservoir in the dishwasher.
4. Fill the milk reservoir with water, not above the MAX fill line. Place the milk reservoir back onto the unit, lifting the reservoir release button and simultaneously sliding the milk reservoir in, holding the reservoir by the lid.
5. Place a large empty cup under the froth dispensing tube.
6. Turn the Froth Control Knob counterclockwise to the clean position then press the Clean button to activate the clean function. The unit will start releasing steam through the froth dispensing tube. Let the cleaning cycle run until you no longer see any milk coming out of the tube, or let the cycle run until it stops automatically.
7. Dispose of any water left in the milk reservoir and place it back in the unit. You should feel the milk reservoir lock in place.

Broke Down Shortly After a Year
Bought this machine October of last year, now it's November and it's broken. Won't draw milk from the tank. Very rarely I have had home appliance break down so early. It's so disappointing.
mrcoffee.com response
Thank you for reaching out to Mr. Coffee®. We are sorry to hear that your espresso maker won't draw milk from the tank. That is certainly not the experience we want you to have. No worries, we are here to help. The possible reason for this issue is that the espresso maker might be having a build-up of mineral deposits, which will affect the operation of the appliance. For a possible fix, we advise you to try the following:
To Delime Water Reservoir:
1. Fill the reservoir with fresh, undiluted white household vinegar.
2. Allow the appliance to sit overnight with the vinegar solution in the water reservoir.
3. Discard vinegar by removing the reservoir and turning it upside down over the sink.
4. Rinse the water reservoir thoroughly with tap water by filling the tank half full with water and then pouring the water back out into the sink, repeating this step twice.
To Delime Internal Parts:
1. Make sure you delime the inside of the water reservoir first by following the Deliming steps above.
2. Make sure to switch the on/off button to the off position and the power cord is disconnected from the electrical outlet. Fill the reservoir with undiluted white household vinegar.
3. Insert the porta-filter (with filter and no coffee) and place a large empty cup on top of the drip tray and under the porta-filter.
4. Plug the power cord into the electrical outlet.
5. Press the on/off button to switch the unit on, once the 2 control panel lights (Espresso heater and Steam heater) turn solid press the Automatic Espresso Button twice. The vinegar will start flowing through the unit and it will stop automatically.
6. Place a large empty cup (with at least 325 mL/ 11 fl. oz. capacity) under the frothed milk dispensing tube. Fill the milk reservoir with water and place it back on the unit. Turn the Froth Control Knob counterclockwise to the clean position then press the Clean button to activate the clean function. Let the cleaning cycle run until you no longer see any milk coming out of the tube, or let the cycle run until it stops automatically.
7. Repeat Steps 1 – 6 as necessary using only tap water to rinse any remaining traces of vinegar out of the machine.
Your espresso maker has a 1-year limited warranty. If this doesn't resolve your issue, we highly suggest that you visit the nearest service center or appliance center in your location to have your espresso maker checked and possibly fixed. We hope this helps. Have a nice day!

Really wanted it to work- defective from factory!
Out of the box, never made it through the initial priming cycle. No water out of the brewhead, milk frother did work. On advice from the support team, I tried to run the priming cycle several times - even removed porta-filter- until the unit finally started leaking lots of hot water from underneath the base. Save your time and money!

Thank you for reaching out to Mr. Coffee®. We are sorry to hear that your espresso maker is not working. That is certainly not the experience we want you to have. No worries, we are here to help. If your Mr. Coffee® pump espresso maker is not brewing, remove the portafilter, wipe down the shower head to make sure nothing is clogged or stuck, then check to see if you can run the brew cycle without the porta-filter in place.
If water comes through without the portafilter, the portafilter might be the issue. If water still does not come through, there may be an issue with the espresso maker. Works great…breaks in under a year
I received this one-touch as a gift and loved it…til it broke after 11 months. Mr. Coffee sent a replacement, and that one broke in about 6 months with a different issue. No replacement this time; not under warranty. I am sad because it made great cappuccinos, but I won’t be buying another one. Can’t stand the heartbreak when it stops working.

Thank you for reaching out to Mr. Coffee®. We are sorry to hear that your espresso maker is not working. That is certainly not the experience we want you to have. No worries, we are here to help. If your espresso maker is not working, it might be because the unit is not getting enough power from the wall outlet where it is currently plugged in or the wall outlet itself is a non-working outlet. To remedy this issue, check if there is no physical damage on its cord and if there's none, try unplugging the coffee brewer. Let the unit rest for 3-5 minutes. Then, plug it into a different wall outlet. Do not use it with any extension cords, power strips, and power converters or inverters as it may affect the espresso maker's performance. Also, make sure that all parts and accessories are properly inserted. Otherwise, it might cause the product not to work properly.

Like other reviews...WAS great.
I bought this 2 years ago and it worked great. I would make lattes frequently or simply just use the frother option (my favorite). However, about a year in, the frother would struggle to pump in the milk. I would hear the pump but it would struggle to disperse milk. My coffee machine has sat for the last 6 months since becoming pregnant and having severe nausea, but this morning I tried to revisit it and now none of the settings are working. Really disappointed.

Stopped after one year
I was very pleased with this for one year but just after the warranty period it stopped working. The steamer works but no water is being pushed through the filter. It is not a plugged tube but appears to be due to a machine problem.

Thank you for reaching out to Mr. Coffee®. We are sorry to hear that your espresso maker is not brewing. That is certainly not the experience we want you to have. No worries, we are here to help.
The most common causes of a Mr. Coffee® espresso maker not making espresso are:
- There is no water in the reservoir
- The coffee grounds are too fine
- There is too much coffee in the filter
- The cap is not secure and steam is escaping
- The espresso maker is not plugged in
- The coffee grounds have been tamped/compressed too much
- The espresso maker may need cleaning
