Mii Mule (Women)

I loved these shoes the first time I saw them on Nordstrom.com, and immediately pictured myself wearing them with everything over the summer. I usually fit between an 8.5 and 9.0. Everyone was saying to order a half size up, so I went with a 9. I have a slightly wider than standard foot. But these shoes were so wide and the top of the shoe was too high to even touch the top of my foot. So I would need to have super toe strength to grip the shoes as I walk to keep them from falling off. I plan to take them back and try on an 8.5 or maybe even an 8. I suspect they won’t fit either, so I might try to find a similar shoe.

The top of the shoe doesn’t lay on my foot so that I can take a step without it falling off. Not too wide. The shoe is beautiful and has a perfect insole, both firm and a bit of cushion with arch support. Kudos to the designers! I did not want to send them back but I can’t see trying to hold on to the shoe with my toes all day or dragging my feet rather than taking a normal step. Too bad for me.

The soles are comfortable to walk on, but if you wear them without socks (re: wear them barefoot) your feet are going to sweat and stink. I wore them for 4 hours at a conference and had to put sneakers in mid-day (even with sitting most of the day) because these shoes gave me blisters. Super cute looking shoe, not functional at all. If I could send them back, I would.
