What it is: This three-minute pre-shampoo treatment helps immediately repair hair damage for softer, stronger hair.

What it does: The formula leaves hair stronger, softer and repaired. It rebuilds all three hair bonds deep in every strand for 360° repair and damage defense in the past, present and future. It helps reduce future breakage for length retention over time.

Key ingredients:

- Patented Olaplex Bond Building Technology+ Damage Defense Cationic Complex: rebuilds all three hair bonds for cortex-to-cuticle repair that leaves hair stronger and more resilient

- Natural humectant derived from L-glutamic acid: improves manageability and infuses moisture

- Crambe abyssinica seed oil, avocado oil and sunflower seed oil: reduces frizz and flyaways, improves smoothness

How to use: In the shower, apply generously to wet hair from roots to ends. Leave on for 3 minutes. Rinse. Follow with shampoo and conditioner. For best results, use every 1-3 washes.

Just a gimmick
Olaplex No.3 Plus feels more like a gimmick than a must-have treatment. While it smells nice and the texture is pleasant, the results are often underwhelming unless your hair is extremely damaged. For many, it doesn’t provide a noticeable difference compared to cheaper conditioners or masks, yet the price keeps you coming back. It’s marketed as a miracle repair, but in reality it’s an average hair treatment dressed up with clever branding to keep you spending.

Softer & stronger hair
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OLAPLEXNo.3 Plus Complete Repair Treatment (Olaplex B&A;)Incentivized review It is  my first time trying a treatment that  is a pre-shampoo & a  pre-conditioner.  For its concept and for its intended purpose it works great. It has been mentioned that it's suggested to be used by those who have blond or pre-lightened hair. Do I recommend the treatment? Yes , however I would ONLY use it if you are someone who FREQUENTLY washes their hair.  If you are someone who washes their hair once or twice a week , the treatment is going to make your hair dry. I tried treatment both ways to test it out and realized my hair felt softer and better when I washed ( with this product) more frequently. I also wouldn't recommend it for those who have to deal with dry scalps as it will make your head feel dryer. If you do decide to use the product anyways, invest in a good leave-in conditioner to pair with this product. Personally I feel like this product would have worked better as a leave-in conditioner.Received as a part of an educational promotion. *This review was collected as part of a promotion.

Made a difference
I’m always coloring and use heat styling tools on my hair so it’s safe to say, I know all about damaged hair. This treatment was actually a really good addition to my hair care routine. Didn’t it completely reverse any damage on my hair? No, but it definitely made a positive difference in how my hair looked after a good wash and blowout. I would recommend this to anyone who regularly colors and heat styles their hair. I received this product as a part of an educational promotion.
