Best silk floss
Everything about these is great. The scent, the ingredients, the durability, and the fact that it’s not made in China.

Why is salt necessary in dental floss?
I like everything about this dental floss (texture, width, strength, natural ingredients) except the salt. I wish there was a no salt version.

happy mouth
I was looking for a different eco floss after dt tung's changed their packaging and floss. This Ojook floss is much much better and my mouth is happy I found it. The silk thread is skinny. The beeswax is a game changer, it slides right in and out and I do have some tight spots where floss usually gets stuck. I have been using the Ojook for over a month now and it has never gotten stuck or broken and rarely frays maybe due to it being silk and skinny. I do try to remember to move the floss so I don't use the same spot on the floss for every tooth groove. When it did fray, it think it was because I forgot and kept using the floss in the same portion of floss over again in a different tooth groove. Also, a tip for tight spaces it to pull it out at an angle or to the side instead of straight up.
I did see the other review; the reason for the sea salt is that sea salt kills bacteria, thus it is extremely healthy for your gums. Leave the sea salt in. I even use weleda sea salt toothpaste and add sea salt into my trace mineral mouthwash.
In the Ojook floss batch that I received, the peppermint and pine do not flavor the floss at all, which is another 5 stars for me. I like an unflavored floss and this is unflavored even though it has peppermint in it. The pine comes thru slightly in the smell of the floss but that is about it. It smells nice and I am sensitive to smells. I usually can't stand scented anything.
I like that the container has a cap on it so the floss stays clean. underneath the cap, is a metal plate that fully covers the top with a raised C for the cutter. The cutter works well. However, it does want to turn on occasion when trying to cut the floss. In addition, there is not a whole lot of room where the Ojook floss comes out of the hole and the cutter so it makes it harder to grab. The metal cutter insert pops out fairly easy to put a refill inside. I did not need a refill yet (it seems to last a long time by the looks of the floss column it looks like it would'nt), but I wanted to test it out. I used my nail to pull it up on the side and on the cutter itself and it came right up and I just pushed it down in place with ease.
What I really don't like about the container is that it is glass and the reason for the one star deduction. One drop and this will be broken especially since most all bathrooms are tiled plus granite and tiled countertops. I would prefer an all metal container that way when I drop it it will remain intact or a recycled plastic container both that could be re-filled of course.
It did take me sometime to figure out how much to pull out. lol, you wouldn't think it would be an issue but it comes out differently than the typical container. What I do is pull some out and judge it how far across I use to put in my mouth then I add the little more to wrap around my fingers.
One thing I don't understand is why Nordstrom doesn't carry just the refills for the Ojook floss or the version with container floss and a refill like on the Ojook website. The refill is one reason it is eco. After I used the floss I wanted to buy the refills but could not find it when I wanted to buy it at Nordstrom!
I am buying more Ojook floss to keep in my vehicles and different rooms in the house. lol, I am too lazy to walk in the bathroom. I am sending my mom one and it's not even mother's day! Before I had a chance to post this review my mom gave me her feedback. my mom did not like the floss; it got stuck for her and broke and she prefers a thicker floss. I will stick with this Ojook floss! In fact, I just purchased two more before posting this review.

So much better than other types of floss
I decided to try this cause it sounded interesting. It works so well & without feeling like I’m wasting it. It’s strong enough to get in between my teeth & behind my back molars. Other floss I use 3-5x times as much floss so this saves money. I also like that it doesn’t cut into my gums. The only thing to be careful about is it snagging on a fingernail which is painful with any kind of floss, thankfully it’s easier to remove from a snagged nail. I’ve switched to better floss! It’s amazing at getting what the flossers leave behind.

OK, but Dental Tape Better
Concept seemed cool, but width is too small. Dental tape is much more effective — and a whole lot more affordable. Supporting the environment isn’t enough justification to pay premium $$. (Also, no instructions available anywhere online how to start the spool of floss. Had to pry open metal stopper and fish out floss manually. Not great packaging or marketing design.)
