Off the Shoulder Long Sleeve Rib & Crepe Gown

Purchased this dress for an upcoming evening event. It is very classy and understated. I wanted something conservative and elegant and this dress fits that description. Will pair it with statement heels and a tennis necklace. I did need to have it hemmed as it was still several inches too long with heels. Also, the top part that folds over the shoulders kept riding up, so when I took it to Nordstrom for alterations I had them stitch down that part. This may not be an issue if you have narrow shoulders. Cannot wait to wear this dress! Also, like the versatility of this dress, it’s dressy without being over the top. Simplicity of it allows you to add personality with your accessories.

I love Ralph Lauren and I really wanted to love this dress. I am normally a smaller size 12 somewhere between a medium and large. The shoulder area seemed tight and it kept popping up, so it didn’t stay off of the shoulder as shown in the picture. It looked great when it was in place, but a few minutes later, it would roll up. I knew it would never stay in place during a busy wedding. The lower portion of the dress seemed a little too loose and baggy in the stomach area. Lastly, the fabric was really heavy. Even for an early fall wedding, I thought I would overheat. And I don’t want to even think about the dance floor!
