Off the Shoulder Crepe & Taffeta Sheath Gown

I absolutely love this dress! I unfortunately need to size up. I’m typically a size 4, but this was just a bit tighter than I feel comfortable wearing. I ordered the dress online, but am heading to Nordstrom today to exchange it… hopefully. It’s for my son’s black tie wedding and I think it will be perfect.

I have been searching for a while for a mother of the groom dress. I am petite.(5’1”) and weigh 130lbs. I have tried on many dresses that don’t work because they’re too long in the torso. I was drawn to two brands because they offered petite sizing, but they didn’t work in other ways (awful fabric or too much much fabric in the wrong places). I was pleasantly surprised by this brand because the proportions are good and even though I I have to get it hemmed, it looks great. The fabric is comfortable and has a bit of stretch to it and the taffeta accent at the top draws your eye up and adds class to this gown.

I purchased this dress for my son formal wedding to be held in Tuscany. I keep going between two sizes. There didn’t seem to be much difference between them so I’ll go with the larger size. I do feel it runs a bit small.
