Perfect Fit
These are my new favorite jeans! Looks like other folks liked them too because I want to get another pair and most sizes are gone already. The belt loops are unique, a little lower than usual, look cool, and keep the belt in exactly the right place on the waistline. For me, NYDJ usually stretch and start falling off in an hour, but these stay put because of the way the waist line is constructed. Wearing other brands I’m usually a Size 6, occasionally a 4, but I’m a Size 2 in these jeans and they’re just right. Don’t be fooled into thinking they’re too tight when you first try them on. They stretch!

Strange Fit
These jeans have the strangest fit. I'm always a size 14, no matter what. These were the correct size and I liked the higher waist/rise of 10 3/4". But they bunched out at the hip and made an indentation right above that bunch. The straight legs were a bit wider than the other Marilyn jeans and looked nice. I'm returning them because of the indentation above the hip line and the bunch at the hips. They are cotton and polyester, so they would've held their shape very well. I'm 5'6", 170, size 14. All pants are too long on me, so I have the Nordy Alterations Department shorten them.
P.S. When Nordstrom has an employee to the video review, please mention things like the fabric content, rise, anything unusual (like the belt loops in a different place, on these particular jeans).

Quality Fit
I usually wear a size 16 in pants, but go for the 14 with NYDJ, so they are true to size for NYDJ. The pants fit like a dream, are quality material and are a little on the long side, which is OK by me because of my extended inseam. The material is a little on the heavy side and after a long day they seem to stretch out and bag a bit.

high waist amazing fit
Usually wear size 4 but risked a size 2 because that’s what was left in the half price color/style. With an understanding that I might be bummed out I tried these on and oh my gosh these are definitely the best fit I have had in a jean in years. Fabric and construction are good quality. Really like the color - darker than a rinse wash but definitely blue rather than black.

get it hemmed
These are very comfy and sit high on the waist. I plan on getting them hemmed to make them look more like a “straight” leg pant rather than bootcut.
Left leg in photo is where I’ll have alterations crop them.
