Alina Colored Stretch Ankle Skinny Jeans

I have 2 pairs of these jeans from summer 2014. Love them, great fit-still wear them all the time. ordered 2 pairs new pants for this summer. Same size, size 2. Made the mistake of putting them directly in wash and then wore them. The new jeans are huge, needed a cinched belt to keep them on. Wasnt too worried, thought I would just get free alterations at Nordstrom. The nice alterations lady gave me her honest opinion that they were too big to alter well and didnt think I would be happy with outcome. Nordstrom was kind enough to take them back with full refund. I have reordered them in size 0 but only one of colors available. Beware if you have ordered these pants in past that the sizing may be off this season. The 2s were so big, honestly not sure the 0 will fit but going to give them a try. (will try on first and not remove tags this time!). Annoyed with the "vanity" sizing. I have NEVER been a 0 and certainly never a 00

I expect NYDJ jeans to fit the same. Every time. Every style when it comes to the rise. And it IS all about the rise! If you phone corporate, they will tell all the rise measurements are the same from style to style. They used to be but not any more. These jeans do not come up to the waist. They are about 3/4" below where they have always fit me. I own 12 pairs of NYDJ styles. I know. I can recommend but with the caveat.

NYDJ has become so inconsistent in its sizing that it is impossible to order online and be sure of what you will get. I have bought many NYDJ over the years. The first pair was size 4 and fit great. Then size 4 was too big and I became size 2 and now size 0. I haven't gained or lost weight. The material is never the same. These pants are too tight in the thighs and too loose in the waist. The color is dark red instead of the bright color in the ad. I will probably return them.

I bought these jeans earlier this year, and loved them. Loved them so much, I ordered two more pair. NYDJ quality control is so poor that I've had to return both pair. The fit is completely inconsistent. What fits beautifully in black, is too small in white (in the same size!), and so on. This is not the first time I've had this problem, but when they get it right, it's worth going through the hassle of trying different sizes, etc. But it IS frustrating.

Bought these in black and they fit me perhaps better than any of the other dozen-ish different kinds of NYDJ jeans and legging styles I own in sizes ranging from 0R to 2P to 2R. For fit comments context I'll share I'm 5'4" / 108 lb with short inseam yet long enough in the rise that a petite is not quite as comfortable as it sits too low on my waist. Yet I sometimes buy them to avoid having jeans hemmed. (I live away from a Nordies so have to pay to have it done.) If wearing a Regular pant I sometimes wear a 0 in NYDJ but always a 2 in other brands. I bought these in a size 2R and they fit like a glove with a perfect for me length of just top of foot. They sit perhaps a little lower, that is just a skoosh below the waist, compared to some of my other NYDJ bottoms, but that works in these as still no 'muffin top' impact. Great summer weight denim. I'm going to order another pair in dark ezyme.

Love NYDJ and have many. On these, was a bit skeptical as description stated two types of fabric content - one at 98% cotton with 2% Spandex and the other with 80% cotton, 19% Poly & 1% Spandex. I have the same style Clarissa in demin fabric and it is the Poly blend--great fit, comfortable, lighter weight. Since the colored jeans did not confirm which color the fabric content was, I assumed the higher Cotton content was for the white. Not so, I ordered the Pomegranate, White, Blue Bell and they were all the 98% Cotton which made them stiffer and heavier. For me, wanted more of the Poly blend for the lighter weight. Nice fit but returned.
