PIPA^™ Infant Car Seat & Base Travel Bag

Unless you want your baby’s car seat to end up looking like this, or worse… don’t buy this bag. I wish I was warned. First of all, the base and car seat was a nightmare trying to fit inside, however, we eventually were able to close the bag before our flight. This was how we found the bag at baggage claim. Zipper completely broken off and car seat damaged. I’m livid.

I was excited to use this for traveling with our car seat and base. The bag itself has a durable material. While wearing it in the airport as a backpack the zipper busted and it was unusable. You would think the zipper would hold up as it’s made to hold a heavy base with car seat. This was the first time using it also. Very disappointed.

Bought this for a trip to FL, no issue putting the base in, but you do have to make sure the seat setting is at “1” in order to zip it closed. We were also able to pack a few baby items inside the carrier, like clothes and diapers. One of the reviews from before is clearly the airlines fault, not the quality of the bag. We pushed it to its packing limit and never had an issue.

BEWARE: If you do not follow the instructions WORD FOR WORD - you will be like all these other sad one star reviews. GATECHECK your car seat & base. This bag is amazing and so easy to carry up the jetbridge. Ours was waiting again for us at our destination in perfect shape. USE the car seat in the airport & put it in the bag AT GATE. Don't check this prior to security - regardless which AIRLINE you use it will be damaged as it is a soft case & airport luggage travels MILES on conveyor belts before it reaches the plane whereas gate checked luggage just goes under the plane and it is free!

This travel bag works great. I was hesitant to buy it based on another reviewer complaining that the Pipa Lite carseat didn’t fit. Read the instructions that come with the travel bag and the car seat will fit like a charm. The handle needs to be in a specific position for a snug fit. Our car seat safely arrived to our destination with no damage. The backpack straps also came in handy as we navigated the airport (with a baby, stroller, and two large suitcases). I’m happy this served it’s purpose and would recommend it to others - just don’t forget to actually read the instructions!

The bag itself is nice but our car seat was still damaged the first time we used it while gate checking it for our flight. And I thought with the bag our car seat was covered through Nuna, it was not. So save your money and just buy a cheaper car seat at your destination, this is not worth the hassle.
