Not waterproof
Good looking shoe, great fit form my size 12 wide foot, but not even close to being waterproof. Brand new, worn for a 10 block walk in light to moderate rainfall, using an umbrella, and socks were soaking wet. Not even water resistant. I have tons of Arc'teryx gear and have never been disappointed. These shoes should not be marketed as waterproof. ☹️

Hello JayC, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Norvan LD 4 GTX. We’re really sorry to hear that your feet ended up soaked despite only walking a few blocks in light to moderate rain, that’s understandably disappointing, especially when you were expecting waterproof performance. This isn’t the experience we want for you, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention. Your feedback is important, and we’ll be sharing it with our product team so we can continue improving both our footwear and the expectations we set. Thank you again for taking a moment to let us know.

Too much $ for a poorly designed shoe
I’ve had these for 5+ months now; bought them for rainy Oregon. As other reviews have said, they are stiff and not comfortable. I feel like I have to force myself to wear them just because I paid so much for them. At the time I bought these because Hoka didn’t have many waterproof running shoe options… but atp comfort over style does matter most.

Light well made
Would suggest if you are a UK 10 you go for the next size up, just a little tight but well made and incredibly light shoe, will be buying a similar pair in a different colour soon

Long distance comfort
I haven’t had a chance to use them for a long distance hike (40 miles) in June, but have walked in an earlier pair of Norvan LD, which I have been using for 2 or 3 years. I find that the cushioning supports my knees better than regular hiking boots.

Good
Disagree with reviews on the bounce, very bouncy, but I weigh 100kg so maybe that makes the difference. They seem like they may be a bit warm for a (southern) British summer despite being incredibly thin. They look very good, overall, you get what you pay for and that applies every way you want to take it on these, for the price, they're a good deal.

Love the look
Great looking shoe, fits to size, and feels good when I walk long distances
