Much Better Than Dockers!
I just purchased a pair of these pants due to the unique color options available compaired with the same old tan, black, and navy that Dockers produces. These pants fit perfectlly and have a slightly heavier feel than Dockers. They are very comfortable with pockets that are not too deep. It's nice to see so many color options available. The colors are an easy match to any dress shirt I wear to work. I will be purchasing a few more pairs of these pants in the near future.

Tall size not tall enough
I need a long rise as I am high-waisted. I found Nordstrom's casual pleated 35x34 pants of some 5-7 years ago, which came in just one rise, perfect. Unfortunately, the current replacement, this one, has a rise which even in the Tall version is just not long enough: so the pants pull in at the crotch and behind at the seat. I wish Nordstroms re-introduces the older cuts: not all of us wish to wear low rise, hipster flat front pants.

Not my favorite
Nice fitting pants, BUT. They wrinkle immediately. And the buttons were falling off on the first wearing, even before they had been washed. Not typical Nordstrom quality.

Previous design was better for me!
1. Color was supposed to be "brown taupe" but it is actually closer to olive (of which I have several pair)
2. "drop" is too short (previous design had a longer drop)
3. pockets are too small - especially the front (rarely to I ever put anything in my front pockets but when I have to, these pockets are way too tight - can barely get my hand into them)
4. fabric is OK
5. will not order them again which is too bad because I prefer to shop on line.

Not quite as good as Nordsports
These "New" Smartcare pants are a sad replacement to the old reliable Nordsports. Unfortunately, these "New" pants dropped the hook-and-bar plus button fastening at the waist and replaced it with double button fasteners. The feel of the pants is more silky than the standard kahki-chino style of the Nordsports. They also changed their sizing. With the Nordsports, I was a 34x30. With these "New" pants I have to order 34x31. I have not purchased a pair in months because I preferred the hook-and-bar fastener over the double buttons. I'm willing to accept the silky feel, but wish they would simply bring back the Nordsport style. This morning I was in the Nordstrom store and found that they are bringing back the hook-and-bar fastener. Too bad they didn't have my size in stock. I checked this webpage, but see that the hook-and-bar is not yet available on line. I'll keep waiting and watching the website to see when they might be available.

"New" Smartcare Pants
Certainly not the Smartcare pleated pants of years past. New fabric is smoother and less robust, and the drop has shortened considerably . . . pants ride very low on the waist. Too bad, I purchased the "older style" for years, and they were my favorite pants.
