Perfect pant
I have been buying these pants for my husband for last year. He loves the fit and comfort doesn't even look at anything else now.

Disappointing
I had bought a few pairs of these pants in spring of '12. They were great.
I recently purchased another pair. The fit is not as good and the quality of the cloth is lower.
Why does Nordstrom mess with success? They did the same thing with their boxers.

Smart Care Pant
My husband has been wearing these pants for the last 5-6 years as a nice business casual pant. We have replaced them with the same pant year in and out. Last year however, the pant fabric changed and instead of the 100% Cotton label it now has a Supima Cotton label. This Supima cotton is not as good as the old fabric you used. After washing, the pant does not hold the crease line and the fabric over all looks wrinkled. You can see the difference when I hang the new pant side by side with the old. Please bring back the old fabric or source a new vendor for a better quality fabric. Please don't make us have to find another store with a better product. A tried a true Nordstrom customer.

New styling is truly unfortunate.
These pants no longer work for my husband. I first purchased the Smartcare pants a couple of years ago. He travels frequently for business. These pants were stylish and neat looking even with frequent air travel and while entertaining clients at sporting events. I found they washed beautifully, and he found they packed well. The cut was very current, trim, not baggy at all. Recently, it was time to grab him 2 more pairs. I did notice in the product details that they had changed the cut. Big mistake. My husband is fit but muscular and they looked ridiculous on him. I suspect Nordstrom was trying to update the silhouette-or maybe they are trying to save $ on fabric. Clearly they have forgotten the target buyer. I imagine they are in their 30s and up, perhaps road warriors. They are now too fashion forward and cut for a younger physique. And frankly, our 20s nephews would not wear this brand. I am irritated and disappointed at Nordstrom. I hope they read this and pay attention.

Design Flaw
These pants have a design flaw in the way they are sewn at the top and bottom of the pocket. The fabric is ripping long before the rest of the pant shows normal wear. My husband liked the look and fit, had them in every color but we won't be buying them again.

Quality Drop
I've ordered the JWN Smartcare label pants before and been really impressed with the quality and fit for the money. When I received these, I realized how long it had been and was disappointed to see how substantially the quality of material had dropped. Also, the fit is a little narrow for this cut, the inseam is short and even the front pockets seem sewn on wrong. Definitely should have returned these...oh, well, at least they were on sale.

Sizing was off
I ordered 5 of these pants in size 30/30 from Nordstrom's website. I returned all 5.
The waist was too snug and the length was too long. I began to wonder, "Have I gained weight? Am i no longer size 30 in the waist?" After trying on khakis at another store and finding that those fit, I realized that these pants run small in the waist and long in the leg. Not for me. I returned all 5 pair.
