Great fit for a skinny kid
My son is 10 and very slim and usually swimming in his appropriate size. Going down in size usually results in a better fit in the waist, but short high water length for the legs. These pants are still a little big in the waist, but fits nicely. A belt will be needed, but this has been the best fitting pants for his skinny frame that we've found.

fits more like skinny jeans
There’s no straight leg about these. My son could barely get them over his feet. They fit true to size in the waist but we didn’t like them because they were extremely hard to pull on.

Nice material, but pants run small for size listed. My son is tall and slender but I keep returning pants to Nordstrom because the sizes are not accuracy or standard.
