Down Alternative Comforter

I loved this comforter when I first received it. I bought it to replace a down comforter which was too warm. The new comforter was the perfect level of warmth...no more waking up in the middle of the night feeling hot and uncomfortable. But now 7 months later I'm so disappointed. Surprise that Nordstrom would sell such a poor quality item. Some of the squares are completely empty! And others overstuffed so the whole thing is lumpy. When I make my bed it looks terrible....not nice and smooth anymore. Such a waste of money.

Fantastic quality, but not practical unless you live in Antartica. It has the hoops to tie to the inside of your duvet and fills out the duvet perfectly. Unfortunately, all of that doesn't matter when you routinely wake up in a sweat, dying of heatstroke. To give you an idea, it's winter in San Francisco and I'm sleeping with a fan blowing on the bed. No.

I purchased this down alternative comforter as an insert for my new cal-king duvet. After reading the reviews and searching the web I thought, from Nordstrom this would be a great buy. Wrong. When I opened the packaging I found pieces of the fiber inserts coming out. Since I wanted to see if the comforter would fit my duvet I laid it on top of my duvet cover which was lying on the bed already. I got distracted for a couple of hour and return to insert the comforter in the duvet cover, but when I lifted the comforter up off of the duvet it was covered with fibers of the insert. I then lifted the comforter up in order to see if there was a way for the comforter fibers to come out and to my surprise you could see how the comforter fibers where already lumpy and shifting. I thought if I washed the comforter the fiber inserts would surely shred. I just re-packaged the comforter and returned it to the store immediately.

I purchased this comforter about 5 months ago and am so disappointed. Almost all of the squares in the middle are empty. The filler has moved out to all four edges of the comforter!! It's now the dead of winter and I have no use for this item. I've tried shaking it to coax the filler back into the middle but it won't work. I definitely don't have time to try to re-work the filler back into each square. Such a waste of money!!

I was disappointed that this duvet/comforter starts out lumpy straight out of the package. Even after I put it into my duvet cover it looks lumpy. It is nicely lightweight though. I'll keep it, maybe I'll get one season out of it. I expect that it will only get more lumpy after washing it. I don't recommend this product. I expect better quality from Nordstroms. The fabric is good quality but there needs to be more filling in the pockets.

Light weight. Not too heavy. Very comfortable. Warm and cozy. Just the right amount of weight. Good for year round.
